Biographical Details
Terri Dangen is a self taught artist from the Waikato, Although I have moved around a lot here and overseas, Waikato is where my son and I call home. I currently divide my time between work where we produce good quality hand painted ceramic and also a great amount of time painting my own style which I lovingly create from home.
I enjoy creating vibrant coloured paintings from the native nature around me, I’m strongly influenced by our natural environment of New Zealand, where I focus mostly on flowers, seascapes, landscapes as well as heavily influenced by Native Birds which often feature in my paintings, I enjoy doing a crisp realistic modern style with great attention to detail. Mostly done in bright rich colours but also can lean towards warm brown/fawn colours when the passion and mood takes me.
I’m also starting to move into abstracts to challenge myself to step outside the box and do something that is not normally my style and does not comes easy to me.
